1. Diagon Alley

In the first movie of the Harry Potter Series, Leadenhall Market was used as the entrance for the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley.

Leadenhall Market was a Victorian covered market that was restored later. It was designed in 1881 by Sir Horace Jones. The old meat hooks above various shops, keep its memory as a meat market. However, in recent times you may find various fashion and gift stores here. It is now a popular lunchtime place for locals.

Climbing the fanciful 311 steps of the Monument that’s just a short walk away lets you witness the best city views. 2. St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel

This is a gothic masterpiece, designed by George Gilbert Scott. It served as Midland Grand Hotel since 1873. Later, it was reopened as St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel in 2011.

3. King’s Cross Station

As the story says, the wizards had to run at a wall in order to access platform 9 3/4, where they would get the train to Hogwarts. At the King’s Cross Station, there’s a train line and not a wall between platforms 9 and 10.

The actual access to platform 9 3/4 is at platforms 4, and 5, which were renumbered in order to film the story. Look for the Harry Potter shop in the King’s Cross Station to get clicked with the trolley in front of the platform 9 3/4.

4. Entrance To The Ministry of Magic

Various Harry Potter film sites in London were manipulated to create the necessary scenes. This is one of them. In the movie, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, the Ministry of Magic is entered through a telephone box. It’s the scene where Harry and Mr Weasley head towards Harry’s hearing to use magic in front of the Muggles. The telephone was only a prop, and you won’t find it here.

This place is located off Trafalgar Square. There are several good options you can consider while you want to know what’s more for you. As you walk down the Whitehall to reach Scotland Palace, the archway was taken from here although the road was too short for filming, it was done at the Great Scotland Yard.

5. Gringott’s Wizarding Bank

The interior of Australia House made the Gringott’s Wizarding Bank. However, the building is not open to the public. But you can surely ask the guards politely to let you peep inside. Australia House was opened in 1918 by King George V. It serves as home to the Australian High Commission. Therefore, entry is allowed only to people who are here for official matters like citizenship, Visa, etc.

6. Reptile House At London Zoo

The Reptile House at London was the location of one of the scenes from “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”. It was shot during September and November in 2001. In the scene, a Burmese python is shown speaking to Harry Potter.

7. Millennium Bridge

London’s Millenium Bridge was used as Brockdale Bridge in the movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. Due to a dramatic attack by Death Eaters, this bridge collapses in the movie. Well, the footbridge is still intact since special effects were used for creating the scene.

8. Lincoln’s Inn Fields

9. Lambeth Bridge

In the movie “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”, this is the bridge where Knight Bus squeezes between two London buses. This bridge in London has two-way traffic.
